Removal of one or more third molars, the teeth at the very back that arrive in the late teens or twenties and frequently have nowhere useful to go.
We take a 3D scan to see exactly where each root sits relative to the nerve and the sinus, then plan accordingly. The tooth is often sectioned into pieces so it can come out through a smaller opening.
It removes a tooth you cannot clean properly, which is why third molars so often end up decayed, infected, or damaging the healthy molar in front of them.

Anyone with wisdom teeth that are decayed, repeatedly infected, pressing on the second molar, or impossible to clean. Removal is not automatic if they are healthy and functional.
You are numb, and with sedation most people remember very little. Expect pressure, sound, and your jaw being held open, which is often the part people find most tiring.
About thirty to forty-five minutes per tooth, less for one that has fully erupted. Several are usually done in one visit rather than spread out.
Roots close to the nerve in the lower jaw carry a small risk of temporary or lasting numbness in the lip and chin. The 3D scan exists precisely to assess that beforehand.
Three to five days of swelling and soreness, worst on day two. Ice, soft food, and no smoking or straws. Take the full week off strenuous exercise.
